Training Notes: | Felt 3/10. Legs/knees pain 3/10. Back @ 80%. Went to gym with a friend so a little more rest time in between initial warm up sets. He picked up that when I squat, the bar is not parallel to the ground, there is a slight lean to the right. I am not sure if this is a flexibility issue or perhaps my right side being stronger/bigger. I missed at 127.5kg. Even though I was tired, I think it was certainly achieveable. I am not sure if my mind was not 100% focused (I don't think this is the answer) or maybe I went back on heels too quickly/far pushing back the centre of gravity and I lost control. Sank all the way to a deep position. It happened so quickly I did not think about what to do next. I pushed my knees and lower back forward - I was thinking something would surely snap at the time - and dropped the bar into the rack. In hindsight I think I did it the right way. I was shaken up, very worried that I might have hurt my back and did some damage to my knees. But after a few minutes everything seemed fine and I kept on squatting (back off sets not maxes since I was a little shaken since that was my first ever miss) though I was worried that a heavy squat would expose any problems quickly. After three back off sets on 110 I bumped it up to 112.5 because it was somewhat easy and I was sure I could have done 127.5 on the max. | ||||||
